Google launches into the world of foldable phones

The Google Pixel Fold stands out for having two high-quality OLED screens , with the second generation of processors created by Samsung for the Big G, the Tensor G2 and with a camera system similar to the one we saw in the Pixel 7 Pro.

In terms of design , the Google Pixel Fold inherits the aesthetics of the Pixel 7 series, since it has the characteristic bar-shaped rear camera module, although this time it will not occupy the entire width to the hinge because it will not reach the ends. It is a book-type terminal, so we will talk about two screens: a rectangular one and a square one inside that have made those attending the event jump with euphoria, it has a folding system very similar to the Galaxy Z Fold4 and OPPO Find N2, which has, according to the brand, the most durable hinge in a folding mobile, and with quite contained frames that make it the thinnest foldable on the market.

OLED display

The Google Pixel Fold relies on a camera system similar to that of the Pixel 7 Pro. Let's start with what we see is the front , which measures 5.8 inches with an OLED panel in FHD resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate. This same feature is also carried over to the 7.6-inch screen inside , which is also an OLED panel. Each of them has a 9.5 MPX and 8 MPX front selfie camera on the external and internal panels.

But if we talk about cameras, we also have to talk about the three on the back . These will be in a rectangular casing with beveled edges and will have a 48 MPX main sensor, a 10.8 MPX 5x telephoto lens and a 10.8 MPX ultra-wide angle lens.

Google Tensor G2 Processor

With these possibilities, there is no doubt that this is a phone with great capabilities, so much so that it reaches the Pixel 7 Pro although both share the Google Tensor G2 processor with 12GB of RAM and an internal UFS 3.1 type hard drive for better writing and reading.

In the software department, it is not short either, thanks to artificial intelligence. We are not just talking about all the technology that makes these phones special. It will come with really interesting features such as Interpreter Mode with Google Translate , continuous playback from the small screen to the large one, and new options that work with the new toolbar and split-screen functions.

The Pixel Fold features over 50 Google apps optimized for larger screens and a new dual-screen taskbar that lets you use two apps at once and drag items between them .
